Site Utility Estimator/Project Manager

Job Summary

QueenCity Mechanicals is a commercial/industrial union plumbing and union utility contractor, with nearly 40 years of industry experience operating within the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Area. We are actively seeking an experienced individual to not only maintain our presence in the site utility market, but to foster continued growth by filling the vacancy for the Site Utility Estimator/Project Manager position. This dual role position requirements are:

responsibilities

Responsibilities as Site Utility Estimator/Project Manager include:

·       Utilize project documents, including plans, specifications, and all other supporting documentation to generate a project bid

·       Complete bid forms and write proposals

·       Secure all permits

·       Material buyouts and product submittals

·       Develop and maintain project schedule

·       Provide job cost and billing break down from estimate

·       Manage sub-contractors

·       Manage project manpower needs in conjunction with superintendent

·       Attend project meetings

·       Price change orders

·       Provide internal support for project superintendent

·       Monitor job costing and prepare monthly report for review with management

·       Recruitment and development of field staff members

·       Development, preservation and improvement of the relationship with the customer

·       Assist management in implementation of goals to achieve growth and market expansion of business unit

experience required

·       Proven work history associated with the management of underground utility work

·       Knowledge of local codes

·       Ability to read plans and specifications

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required

·       Proficiency in estimating software is required
